Between the recoupling chaos going down on Love Island, toxic temper tantrums shocking The Valley, and now my favorite messy WLW series re-entering the chat, reality TV has me booked and busy for the rest of summer. Yep, the rumors are true, The Ultimatum: Queer Love has gloriously returned, and it’s about ten million times more gag-worthy than the straight version, to the surprise of legit no one. One storyline that had me scraping my jaw from the floor was during The Changeover episode when Magan and Haley (a trial couple) called out Dayna and Mel (Magan’s original partner and Dayna’s trial wife, respectively) for having sex during the experiment. What was Magan’s foolproof evidence that Dayna and Mel hooked up? Dayna and Mel’s multiple sex playlists on Spotify, duh.

Dayna And Mel’s Sex Playlists Drama, Explained

Did Dayna and Mel have sex on The Ultimatum?

Trial couple, Dayna and Mel, def got physical on The Ultimatum, but what exactly went down behind closed doors has yet to be revealed. So far, the cameras showed a very tasteful shot of the couple making goo-goo eyes, followed by cutting away to shots of the skyline while audio of aggressive moaning played in the background. Soooo, you make your own conclusions about what went down!

But Magan and Haley managed to get their own proof while filming the show. Haley (Magan’s trial wife) thought Dayna (Magan’s IRL girlfriend, whom she joined the show with) was acting super suss during the ultimatum-givers’ drinks meet-up. This convinced Haley and Magan more than ever that Magan’s ex (Dayna) was having sex with her new partner (Mel). Hagan (that’s Haley and Magan’s couple name, keep up) first got suspicious shit was up when Dayna ignored Magan at the pool.

Then, after the drinks night, divine intervention struck. Magan and Haley were trying to sign into Spotify when they somehow logged into both Dayna and Mel’s accounts by accident??? And there they found Magan’s ex and her new trial wife had made multiple sex playlists, including one where Dayna had copied “all the songs that [she] created for [Magan],” including their couple song, and pasted them onto a new playlist for Mel. Duping the sex playlist?? Is nothing sacred?!

But before you go crying for Magan, to be fair, she got her freak on, too. After reuniting, Dayna asked Magan how far she went while Magan was fake-married to someone else. Magan admitted, “Haley and I hooked up,” meaning they did “like, everything.” I guess they did it in silence!

How To Make A Good Sex Playlist

What songs were on Dayna and Mel’s Sex playlists?

So far, Dayna has yet to reveal the pussy poppers on her playlist. Still, based on her IG music selections, some of her songstress faves appear to include Reneé Rapp, Slayyyter, Kesha, “Touch Me Like A Gangster” by Jessie Murph, and ofc “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry.

Do sex playlists actually work?

Music can absolutely enhance sex, which should be no surprise since music has been considered a stress reducer since basically the beginning of time. According to Psychology Today, “Music has the ability to induce feelings of pleasure” because it “prompts the release of dopamine.” That means a properly curated playlist can generate a “chemical response” with “physical and psychological rewards” of arousal and pleasure. So, if you want your playlist to fuck, so to speak, add songs that you already associate with feeling sexy, aroused, and carefree.

Like Magan and Dayna, if a specific song is already associated with fun times, you’ve had with that partner, all the better to boost that dopamine release. You also want to pick songs that you know, like the back of your hand, so that when the beat drops, your brain is relaxed knowing what’s coming next, not distracted with guessing what lyric comes next. If you need specific suggestions, try literally anything by The Weeknd or Marvin Gaye or some of these boner jams.
