If you’ve been partaking in the Winter Arc Challenge, subscribing to the “October Theory,” or just locking in when it comes to your health this winter, odds are you’ve been really in tune with making sure you burn those calories and get those steps in. And to make sure you stay on track with this, you’re probably using your Apple fitness rings. I’m right there with you. Once I go on a walk, one of the first things I do is check to see if I closed my ring for the day. And if you’re like me, you probably find yourself annoyed at the end of the day when you’re in for the night, your jammies are on, and you’re ready to go to bed — until you realize you never closed your Move ring.

Sure, you can hop out of bed and start doing jumping jacks or you can even cut your losses and go to bed. But what if I told you there was another way to close your Move ring without ever leaving your house… or even your bed? And it’s a pretty fun activity too. That’s right, I’m talking about sex.

Though, I’m sorry to break it to you, you can’t just be a pillow princess and expect that to make up for the calories you didn’t burn for the day. There are certain sex positions that burn a ton of calories so you can get off and get fit all at once. And it’s not just to close your Move ring.

“Like any form of exercise, sexercise burns calories and increases your heart rate, which increases our cardiovascular health,” Dr. Ashwin Sharma, Medical Communications Manager at ZipHealth and MedExpress, tells Betches. “Late-night sessions allow us to sneak in some fitness, especially after a day of sitting in front of a computer.”

So to help you end you day on a healthy note, here are the best sex positions to close your Apple fitness rings.

Squat

This is a form of cowgirl, but instead of kneeling over someone, you’re literally going to be squatting on top of them — so it’s time to channel those Meg knees. Place your feet on both sides of your partner and bend down, using your knees to bounce up and down on them. Sure, you can use the wall or their chest to keep you upright but an added challenge is to just balance yourself. I can already feel the calories burning. According to a study done by ZipHealth, “Women burn the same number of calories from 15 minutes in the squat position as swimming at a moderate pace for 10 minutes.”

Butter-Churner

Okay so this one is a little advanced, but hey you’re trying to burn some serious calories here. In this position, you’ll want to lay on the ground and lift your hips up so that the only thing touching the floor is the back of your head and the back of your shoulders. Then, your partner stands over you so that their feet are on the sides of your arms, and grab your thighs so that your crotches are aligned and your ankles are on their shoulders. This might feel killer on your abs but it’ll feel pretty good for every other part of you.

Kneeling Wheelbarrow

Okay we’ve all played “wheelbarrow” as kids but the kneeling wheelbarrow is just for adults — especially adults that want to burn some serious calories. Don’t worry though, you won’t be completely lifted in the air. Get into doggy position but then extend on your legs straight back so that it looks like you’re doing a kneeling leg lift in the gym. Just make sure to switch sides so you work out each leg equally.
