Will we ever get the One Direction reunion we need and deserve? Just asking ’cause it’s been almost 10 years now since I felt something. I fear today’s male pop kids, The Kid Laroi and Benson Boone, aren’t quite giving what the divine combination of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan once gave. Back in the day, these icons taught me invaluable lessons that made me the woman I am today. I learned that I don’t need makeup to cover up ’cause the way that I am is enough. I learned that even if I have to squeeze into my jeans, I’m still perfect to them. I learned that what I’m looking for in a partner is just Harry Styles.
We may not be getting a reunion, but we’re low-key getting reunion… crumbs, I dare say. On August 27, Harry showed up to Niall’s Manchester concert and seemingly had a fabulous time singing along and dancing to his former bandmate’s hits. Naturally, I started obsessing over this and all the times the One Direction members have ~unofficially~ reunited, so here’s my complete list. Enjoy.
For the bash, Liam performed “Strip That Down” and only “Strip That Down,” of course. (Does he have other solo songs?)
Louis hit up the Troubador to show his bandmate and bestie some love — and he was impressed. “Blown away by Niall tonight,” Louis tweeted after the show. “Felt so fucking proud!”

Liam showed up for a cutesy reunion at the judges house in Ibiza! So sweet of the boys to help mentor the next generation, but no one will ever be them.
Liam and Harry spent some quality time together during the 2019 holiday season when they both performed at the Jingle Bell Ball. Liam praised his pal’s set in an Instagram Story, writing, “Nice to see you live finally @HarryStyles.”

The next day, Liam discussed the little reunion on Sunday Brunch. “It was really interesting, we hadn’t seen each other for a really long time,” he said. “It was really nice, he’s still the same boy as when I left him which is really sweet, just different with age and whatever else. He’s such a lovely lad.”

I love when award shows bring celebs back together. Niall and Harry had a good catch-up sesh at the BRITs, and Niall reflected on the special moment during a GQ interview. “It was good to see him, I hadn’t seen him in a long time,” he told the outlet. “Every time we go to L.A., he seems to go one way and I go the other and we keep missing each other. It was great to see him, he smashed his performance.” (He smashes every performance, in my opinion.)
Liam’s gesture meant everything to Louis, who tweeted after the event, “Special thank you to Liam for being there for me. It means the absolute world. Love you lad!” Sobbing.
And of course, Harry was just spotted having the time of his life at Niall’s Manchester show. He got so into “Heaven” that I think I need a Harry remix of that track.
