Love is Blind season 7 was mostly just a dumpster fire of disturbing revelations (hi Tyler) and messy breakups. (The “experiment” doesn’t really work? No way!!) Unfortunately, Tim and Alex were among the most chaotic couples this season, and unsurprisingly, their part of the reunion was an extremely tough watch. At long last, we got the scoop about what the fuck really happened between them in Mexico and The Nap That Ended It All, and I have to say… I’m low-key Team Alex after the reunion. Her explanations seemed valid and I did not appreciate the way Tim laughed at every single thing she said. So, where do Tim and Alex from Love is Blind stand now? Did he really dump her because of a cat nap? Here’s what we learned about their rocky relationship at the reunion.
These two obviously did not make it to the altar, and it would’ve been catastrophic if they did. At the reunion, they revealed that they haven’t even spoken since their ugly breakup. You may recall that Tim completely snapped when Alex took a nap after meeting his parents, and that seemed to be the reason why he suddenly called off their engagement. Tim dumping her seemed rather abrupt since we didn’t get to see their awful fight in Mexico and we didn’t have any context about Alex’s controversial nap. During the reunion, Alex explained why she was upset that night in Mexico. “I’m very close to my family and my dad had been admitted to a rehab facility a week before I left,” she shared. “Three weeks not talking to them, it just kinda weighed in on me in that moment, and I just wanted space… but unfortunately, I wasn’t given the space that I was wanting which turned into a disagreement.” Tim didn’t really deny her explanation — he was just real pissed that she wanted space and wouldn’t talk to him about why she was upset.
This man went on and on about Alex calling him some horrible name to the point where I was genuinely curious what she could’ve possibly said. Apparently, she called him a “a little ass bitch” in the heat of the moment. That’s what he’s been so pressed about?? Sir… be so fucking for real. Then, we got the tea about the nap. Alex explained that she works a lot. “We were with his parents from 11am until 6 or 7pm and I had to work at 9pm at the bar until 3am,” she recalled. “I simply wanted a nap after we had lunch, we talked for like four or five hours. I literally just wanted a one-hour nap before I go into work. That’s all it was.” I feel like this is 100 percent valid, not gonna lie. Tim clearly felt differently.

“The engagement ended because I felt like the level of respect that I was giving wasn’t being given in return,” he said. “Every day in this process feels like a week.” Honestly, Tim and Alex had different communication styles, different, um, cleanliness styles, and different values… I dare say this was doomed from the start.
