I don't know if I can handle another twist.

Paradise is a hard show to pin down. Is it a political thriller? Yes. Is it a family drama? Also, yes. Is it a dystopian sci-fi drama? Um, also yes. Is it also really, really, really good? Big yes. The hit Hulu series just wrapped its first season on March 4 and has left fans reeling after eight episodes of truly surprising twists and turns. But the good news is, there’s more Paradise coming, so we won’t be left hanging for too long.

Apparently Hulu knew they had a good thing on their hands and announced that Paradise would get a second season before the first was even over. Hopefully Hulu has plans to renew the Sterling K. Brown show again, because creator Dan Fogelman has three-season vision for Paradise in mind.

“Without giving away too much, each season of the show is a slightly different show, within the same show with the same characters,” Dan told The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s twists and turns in the course of the season. Then the seventh episode is kind of a stand-alone episode of the show. As we go into second season, we pivot a little bit, but in a way that I think is very follow-able. But yes, there’s big moves ahead.”

“Big moves” seem to be the name of the game when it comes to Paradise. You can’t really predict much with a show as twisty as this one, but read on for what we do know about Paradise season 2.

Paradise Season 2 Premiere Date

There is no premiere date for Paradise season 2 just yet, but production is reportedly already underway. In an interview with Deadline in early March, Dan Fogelman promised a quick turnaround on a second season. “I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with shows that are off the air for a very long time in which people get invested in and then it takes a long time to get it back on television,” he said. “We’re ready to go right now and hoping to get this show back on TV in a normal span of time, hopefully the same time as it came out this past year as opposed to waiting multiple years. So if we came out in early 2025, hopefully the next season’s out by early 2026.” I’m sick of waiting for shows, too, Dan, so thank you!!!

Paradise Season 2 Cast

The official cast list for season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. Season 1’s cast includes Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Jon Beavers, Nicole Brydon Bloom, and Krys Marshall.

Paradise Season 2 Plot

The people behind Paradise are pretty tight-lipped about season 2 plot details, which tracks for a show as twisty as this one. But, Dan Fogelman has a three-season arc in mind for the series and envisions season 2 as the sort of middle chapter of a trilogy. “We have a three-season story that’s bigger than what people think it is right now, and it’s going to span a couple of genres,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. A couple of genres? I didn’t even think it was possible to squeeze more genres into this show, but I’m here for it.
