Omfg, Taylor Alison Swift has graced the 2024 Grammys with her presence, and I can’t breathe. If I was a young person I would say “she ate and left no crumbs,” but I’m not so I won’t. She looked gorgeous in a white Schiaparelli couture gown and watch choker necklace, which I need like, right now.
Taylor arrived solo because her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is prepping for Super Bowl LVIII. While we love a supportive Ken, I kind of prefer that she gets alllll the attention for her six Grammy nominations — and I want one night where I don’t have to pretend to be interested in talking about football.
Tay Tay is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album (Midnights), Song of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Album of the Year (Midnights), Record of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Anti-Hero”) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Karma feat. Ice Spice”).
Women are ruling this year’s Grammys. Besides Jon Batiste’s “Worship,” every nominee for Record of the year is female — Olivia Rodrigo (“Vampire”), Victoria Monét (“On My Mama”), Billie Eilish (“What Was I Made for”), SZA (“Kill Bill”), Miley Cyrus (“Flowers”) and boygenius (“Not Strong Enough”).

If our queen wins Album of the Year, Taylor will be the first artist who has earned the award four times. She first won in 2010 for her sophomore album, Fearless, followed by 2016’s 1989 and again for Folklore in 2021. She was not only the first female to win three times for Album of the Year, but she is also currently tied for most wins in the category alongside Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon. Taylor has accomplished all of this, and I haven’t changed out of sweats in three days.
We’re waiting (and waiting and waiting) for her to announce the official release of Repuation (Taylor’s Version). From wearing green to every event in the past two months to stepping out in snake-skinned boots, the clues have not been subtle. She made fans (a.k.a. me) even more anxious about the upcoming announcement when she changed her Instagram profile photo (which is her Midnights album cover) to be black and white. Some Swiftie detectives interpreted (once again, me) this as her phasing out Midnights and moving into her official ~Repuation~ era. Honestly, my body is ready.
No matter what happens at the Grammys, I will continue thinking about Taylor every single day for the foreseeable future.
