Who let Taylor Swift’s ex into the Grammys? Calvin Harris was allowed to breathe the same air as Taylor, and I’m calling the police.
Calvin was indeed invited to the awards show thanks to “Miracle” getting nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording. Taylor, who was nominated in six categories, floated by him unbothered for the entire night, and the girlies are not OK.
Taylor is the most talked about star in the world, which probably puts Cal in his feels, but fans also thought she was going to announce the re-release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) during the Grammys. Swiftie lore states that there are purposely no songs about Calvin on Reputation, and it’s such a shady theory it makes my palms sweat. Luckily for Calvin, she made us all simultaneously scream and sob with the announcement of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Calvin is a Scottish DJ and producer best known for songs like Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” Sam Smith’s “Promises” and “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa. His Grammy-nominated “Miracle” was done with Ellie Goulding.

He dated Taylor for 15 months from 2015 to 2016 — during her 1989 era. Remember him NOW?!?!?!
While things initially ended quietly, Calvin popped off on Taylor very publicly after their breakup.
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he wrote, in part, on Twitter after reports circulated that Taylor collaborated on “This Is What You Came For,” which she wrote under a pen name. “Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one.”

Calvin later said it was the “wrong instinct” to drag their business into the spotlight, explaining that he felt like hit “talent” was being “belittled.” Sure, Jan.
“The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense,” he told British GQ. “For both of us, it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended.”
Taylor hasn’t publicly spoken about her relationship with Calvin ending, but she usually uses her music as an outlet. However, fans are convinced she snubbed him on Reputation‘s tracklist.

All of the love songs are about Joe Alwyn, who she secretly began dating in 2016 after a brief fling with Tom Hiddleston, who also seemingly got a few shady winks on Reputation. Taylor previously admitted that some people just don’t spark anything for her musically.
“I don’t know what it is that makes some people really creatively inspiring,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2018. “There have been people I’ve spent a lot of time with who I just couldn’t write about.”
