After a very public feud with Scooter Braun, four re-recorded albums, and a record-breaking tour inspired by said re-recordings, Taylor Swift officially owns all her masters now. And thank goodness for that, because as a Scorpio woman filled with copious amounts of rage, I need to be able to listen to Reputation and “Picture to Burn” guilt-free. Plus, I love seeing Scooter lose. Travis Kelce, the pop legend’s BF and No. 1 fan, is unsurprisingly thrilled about this development. We all know the supportive king’s favorite Taylor album is 1989, and, respectfully, we all know how 1989 (Taylor’s Version) turned out… I’m sure he’s very excited to listen to the OG “Blank Space” and “Shake It Off” on repeat. Naturally, The Guy On The Chiefs yapped about the major update on his podcast, New Heights: Here’s how Travis Kelce reacted to Taylor Swift buying back her masters.

Travis Kelce’s New Heights Quotes About Taylor Swift’s Masters

On the June 4 episode of their football podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce were joined by Shaquille O’Neal, who is apparently a Swiftie. I love that for him. During the episode, Shaq said, “Hang on, I gotta show you something,” and started playing “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone. The former basketball star enthusiastically lip-synched every word, claiming it’s his “favorite song in the world,” and Travis laughed and danced along to the track.

“Shout out to Tay Tay,” the tight end said, noting, “Just got that song back too. Just bought all of her music back so it’s finally hers. Man, I appreciate that, dog.” (One person in the comments section pointed out: “I’m sorry, did Travis just instantly recognize that as the OG and not TV??” That’s a trained ear right there.)

When Taylor first shared the exciting news on Instagram, Travis swiftly (see what I did there) “liked” the post. In her announcement post, the singer directed fans to her website, where she’d shared a handwritten letter about the news. “All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs…to me,” Taylor wrote. She also now owns the music videos, photography, art, and films associated with her discography. Taylor added, “The memories. The Magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life’s work.”

I’m still patiently waiting for Taylor to make her New Heights debut. It’s gonna happen. It has to happen.
