Wait… Are You The “Loser Sibling”? This Quiz Will Let You Know

Everyone who’s been gushing about Nobody Wants This has been focused on the love, romance, and healthy communication… blah blah blah. But one of my favorite moments from the series is when Sasha and Morgan have their secret friendship (more on that later) and spoke about what their lives were like being the “loser sibling.”

Now I’m one of six siblings, and I’ll tell you this: I know I am not the loser sibling. That may sound like denial but I promise it’s not. And while I won’t air out who it is (I won’t be mean today), you might be sitting there wondering whether in your family dynamic the loser sibling is you or not. In the show, the loser sibling is usually the one that falls to the background while the other (not loser) sibling gets the attention, is more competent, and all that jazz.

So to help you figure out if you’re the loser sibling in your family (and potentially launch you into an existential crisis), here’s a little quiz to help you figure it out?

1. Has your parent named a different sibling their favorite out loud? Yes or No.

2. Do you constantly need help with things? Yes or No.

3. When people talk to you, is it only about your sibling?

4. Do people call your sibling the “attractive one”? Yes or No.

5. Do your parents forget to invite you to family dinners? Yes or No.

6. Are there multiple things your sibling is better than you at? Yes or No.

7. Do people ignore you when you’re around your sibling? Yes or No.

8. When your parents mention what their kids do to other people, do they conveniently leave you out? Yes or No.

9. Do people often forget you’re part of the family? Yes or No.

10. Are people constantly emphasizing that you look nothing like your sibling (derogatory)? Yes or No.

If you answered mostly “No,” feel free to sigh of relief. You are not in fact the loser sibling. But I’m pretty sure you know who is in your family so hug them extra tight today.

But if you answered mostly “Yes”… I’m so sorry to break it to you friend but you are the loser sibling. But hey! It’s not all bad. At least you can do whatever you want in life and fuck up as much as you’d like because hey, nobody really expects much else!
