Back in February, Sombr revealed on TikTok that “Back to Friends” was inspired by an ex-girlfriend. “When the song I wrote about my ex pretending she didn’t know me anymore hits #5 on pop rising so now she’s hitting me up,” he wrote in a video featuring the song. The singer joked in his caption, “like lowkey I want to reply tho lol but I shouldn’t.”
Although his fans (Sombaddies, I believe they’re called) have shared a few theories about the mysterious ex, Sombr’s assured them that they haven’t figured out her identity.
