Dream fashion compliment? Your look is giving La La Anthony. For one day only, fans have the chance to make that dream a reality by purchasing some of La La’s most iconic pieces through an exclusive closet sale with eBay — part of the site’s drool-worthy “48 hours of Drops” event. On March 27th at 8 p.m. ET, La La will host a live auction straight from her Brooklyn closet, featuring brands like Versace, Manolo Blahnik, and The Row.
Plus, your shopping spree benefits a phenomenal cause — proceeds from the sale go to La La’s charity ThreeSixty, a program that offers mentorships and rehabilitation to incarcerated young men.

You’ve had so many beloved looks over the years. What can your fans expect to see in your eBay closet sale?

All great stuff. I mean, favorite pieces of mine, pieces that have stories behind them and memories behind them that I wanted to share with the eBay audience. I feel like I'm giving a piece of me to somebody to be able to wear and to feel good in. You're taking a piece of me with you.

As we transition into spring fashion, do you have any suggestions for what types of pieces we should be on the hunt for?
I think nowadays, so much vintage fashion is coming back. I love that eBay has so many cool vintage pieces — stuff you can’t just find anywhere. I’ve been on the hunt for a lot of cute vintage tank tops, crop tops, anything tops, because I know I’ll have a cute pair of jeans to wear with them. My assistant is probably screaming in the background — she keeps telling me, “Stop wearing jeans all the time.” But I always want the perfect little top to go with jeans.
Do you have any advice for finding the perfect pair of jeans?

To be honest, my advice is to get the jeans that you love and to get them altered. They have to be altered to your waist and your size so they can fit really perfect.
I always get my jeans a couple sizes too big, and then just get them altered. And it doesn’t have to cost a lot — you can do it at the cleaners.
Have you found any rare gems recently that you’re excited about?

I always find cool vintage bags, but a lot of them I’ve owned in the past, and it just makes me crazy to have to buy them again. And I’m a giveaway type of person — with my family and friends, I’m like, “Here, you want it, take it!”
Now I’m knowing to save my stuff. Things that I used to have years ago, I see at a much higher price now, and I’m just like, “I should’ve kept it.” So I’m doing a better job of keeping my cool stuff that I know is going to be cool again in the future.
You’re no stranger to the Met Gala, and 2026’s gala is right around the corner. Are you down for a quick game of “Start, Bench, Cut” with some of your most legendary Met moments?
Of course!

Yay! This is gonna be tricky because they’re all fierce. I have your 2016 Nicolas Jebran gown from “Fashion in the Age of Technology,” your 2019 $100 bill look from the “Notes on Camp” theme, and your most recent Off-White moment from last year’s “Tailoring Black Style” event.
I’m going to start 2016. The red was really cool. I remember it fit really well.
I’ll bench 2025. It was just a special piece because Shannon, Virgil's wife, allowed me to wear that, and was honored for me to wear it. And that's from the Off-White archive. To get permission from Virgil's wife to wear it, and for her to be excited for me to be in it? That was really, really fun.
I’ll cut 2019. 2019 was camp, so you were definitely going above and beyond to be over the top and avant-garde in a cool way. We took our take on the hundred-dollar bill. It's still a cool look.
Are there any hints you can drop about what we’ll see from you for this year’s gala?
To be honest, I'm just getting started. I’m super excited for this year. There’s going to be so many highlights, like Beyoncé coming back as part of the board.
It’s always fun to see each designer’s take on the theme. Fashion is art and can go a trillion different ways.
Before we go, I want to touch on your foundation, ThreeSixty, where the proceeds from the sale are directed. Can you tell me about what prison reform means to you?
For me, it's really about believing in these young men and giving them the tools to come back into society and be great members of our community, great leaders, and great fathers. It’s really about second chances.
I’m so grateful to eBay for partnering with ThreeSixty in this way because yes, it’s cool giving clothes away, but what does it really mean? It’s about giving back.
