Alex Cooper is famously a married lady. She tied the knot to her husband (and business partner) Matt Kaplan in Mexico in 2024, but before that, the Call Her Daddy host was kinda iffy on the whole idea of getting married.

“I had always been a cynic when it came to marriage,” Alex told Vogue. “[But,] from the beginning of our relationship, I was honest with Matt and told him I might be more interested in the whole ‘life partner’ route.”

She explained that a lot of her doubts stemmed from thinking she couldn’t find a relationship that would match up to her parents’ marriage. “Growing up, I witnessed my parents live the once-in-a-lifetime love—they are still together, 40 years this year,” she said. “I was convinced I would never find what they had, and so I didn’t expect it and didn’t look for it. Little did I know, I just needed to find my Matt Kaplan.”

A Mysterious Red Sox Player

Alex never revealed the name of “Red Sox Man,” but she has talked about her relationship with him on Call Her Daddy a lot. When she was a sophomore in college, she began a romance with the unnamed Red Sox player, who was 13 years her senior. Age-gap romances can work, but this was not one of them.

“I was walked all over. I was treated like shit,” Alex said on her show. “He opened truly my eyes to some of the most psychotic, intense games that were possible to be played.”

Alex hasn’t said his name, but fans on Reddit speculate that Red Sox Man is Mike Napoli since the timelines and ages all match up.

“MILF Hunter”

The Daddy Gang has “MILF Hunter” to thank for teaching Alex the infamous blow job technique, the Gluck Gluck 9000, which she then graciously passed along on her show. MILF Hunter kept things private working as a ghostwriter, but fans have guessed that his name is Muj Fricke.

Noah Syndergaard

Alex dated MLB player Noah Syndergaard on and off throughout 2017, and they were seen together in public at events like Knicks games. They started dating when Alex was a senior at Boston University, but it wasn’t built to last. Alex refers to Noah as “Slim Shady” on Call Her Daddy and, at one point, said, “We didn’t like how we felt being in a room together. […] That’s some dark fucking shit.”

Logan Paul

Yup, Alex and Logan Paul hooked up, which she confirmed on the podcast BFFs. “He’s telling people that we hooked up, and I thought we had this, like, a secret that we were going to keep forever,” she said. “Like, we weren’t gonna tell anyone; we were going to keep it to ourselves. And Logan Paul is really bad at keeping a secret.”

Apparently, they didn’t go all the way, and it was just a one-time thing, which makes sense since Logan couldn’t stop yapping about it.

“The Canadian”

In March 2020, Alex shared that she started a thing with a Canadian but got weirded out when she realized he was spending the COVID-19 lockdown sheltering in place with two other guys she was seeing. I feel like that could have been the start of a very steamy romance novel, but instead, Alex ended things.

And this all leads to Matt, who Alex met on a work Zoom. “I got on Zoom and immediately started thinking, Wow, this producer is very handsome—but stay focused Alex,” she told Vogue. “There were about five other people on the Zoom from his company, but I kept just staring at Matt’s video square.”

The TV project they were discussing at the time didn’t work out, so instead, they started dating. Alex said she knew he was the one after their first date, and well, the rest is Hollywood history.
