It’s officially the summer of Barbrina. We’re all humming “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” all day and impatiently waiting for more Barry Keoghan songs on Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming album, Short n’ Sweet. (The Irish icon is 5’8″, which actually must seem quite tall to the newest main pop girl, who is a mere 4’11”.) You know things are serious when there’s a sexy music video hard launch and Tom Holland boyfriend comparisons are circulating on Twitter… I wonder how Tomdaya feels about that.
But before Barry was Sabrina’s biggest fangirl and muse, he was in a few other serious relationships with non-entertainment biz normies. It’s safe to say our Saltburn king is a certified lover boy with a type: blondes with blue eyes. As he blossoms into an A-list actor and one of the most famous boyfriends out here, it’s obviously crucial that we know every single detail of his personal life. On Good Friday in 2017, Barry met Shóna at a pub, where she was working as a waitress. He fell hard for her and opened up about their relationship during a 2019 appearance on the Irish TV show, Livin’ With Lucy. “I’d be lost without her,” the actor said. “I’d be down on myself and she’d pick me right up and remind me what I’m doing. She’s made me a man. She’s the girl I want to be with for the rest of my life.” Famous last words.

Alas, we all know it was not a lifelong thing. Barry and Shóna unfollowed each other on Insta in 2020.
In 2021, Barry found love again with his now-baby momma, Alyson Sandro. He met the Scottish orthodontist in February that year and she apparently “didn’t care” about his acting career. (How not-like-the-other girls of her.) They went Insta official in July 2021 when Barry shared a photo of her kissing his dog, Koda. The following November, they made their red carpet debut at the Eternals premiere.

Barry and Alyson welcomed their son, Brando, in August 2022. “I can’t get the little boy off my mind,” Barry told GQ in January 2024. “Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world.” Now, he and Alyson are strictly co-parents — UK tabloids reported their split in July 2023.
Today, Barry is a proud half of the No. 1 It Couple, Barbrina. He and Sabrina have been linked since December 2023 and they’re going strong. The miniature entertainers have enjoyed date nights at the W party and the Met Gala, and Barry became an Eras Tour regular to cheer on his new GF. Not to mention, he’s getting used to being a muse: Barry inspired Sabrina’s “He’s drinking my bathwater like it’s red wine” Coachella “Nonsense” outro and he’s also the subject of her new hit, “Please Please Please.” The internet is in love with Barry (again) after watching him star in that Bonnie and Clyde-esque music video with Sabrina.
