In partnership with & Juliet.

Alright, with everything going on in the world, we really need musicals right now. Like, please, can we just take a break from doomscrolling and hold on to Broadway for dear life? At least that’s still standing, right? And if you’ve ever found yourself wishing you could hit “delete” on a tragic plot point in your life (we’ve all got one, no shame), then & Juliet is the show you need to see, like, yesterday.

Here’s the thing: Broadway pulled off the impossible and made Romeo and Juliet… actually fun. Yes, I said it. Fun. & Juliet is the pop-infused, feel-good musical we didn’t know we were missing. It’s like the Shakespearean drama you vaguely remember from high school, but way better. The twist? The show takes place while Shakespeare’s busy writing Romeo and Juliet, but instead of letting Juliet die (like, really, who thought that was a good idea for a teenage love story?), his wife, Anne Hathaway (no, not the Anne that’s Princess of Genovia), steps in and gives Juliet a much-needed rewrite.

Instead of poisoning herself, Juliet ditches the toxic vibes of Verona and heads to Paris to live her best life with her girlfriends. (Move over, Emily in Paris). There’s zero melodramatic angst and we get a high-energy, glitter-filled, nonstop celebration of life instead. Basically, it’s like the Broadway musical version of your favorite playlist – fun, upbeat, and exactly what you need right now.

And speaking of playlists… we have Max Martin to thank for the iconic soundtrack of & Juliet. If you think you’re not familiar with Martin’s music, then you’re wrong. I can almost guarantee that Martin has written the music and lyrics for some of your favorite songs. We’re talking bangers that you 100% know all the words to, even if you pretend you don’t. “Since U Been Gone”? Check. “I Want It That Way”? Double check. And “…Baby One More Time”? Yeah, it’s in the show. So, if you’ve ever belted out Ariana Grande in the car or choreographed a dance to “Oops!… I Did It Again” at a sleepover, this is your Broadway dream come true.

And don’t get me started on the dancing. The choreography in this show? Chef’s kiss. It’s not just impressive, it’s straight-up fun to watch. And yes, Charli D’Amelio is bringing all her TikTok and Dancing With The Stars energy to the ensemble through April 6th. Seeing her perform live is a whole new vibe compared to watching her on a tiny screen in a 9×16 box. We’re not saying you should start busting out the moves in the aisles (but honestly, I get the temptation).

Even if you’re a millennial or self-identifying zillennial who’s maybe not super familiar with the biggest TikTok star on the planet (no judgment, but where have you been?), don’t worry, & Juliet still has something to get your Y2K heart racing. NSYNC’s Joey Fatone is joining the cast through March 16th, and honestly, other Broadway shows need to take notes. This casting is perfect, and the chemistry between the characters? Unreal. It gives the whole show a light, fun vibe that just makes you feel good.

If you’re into pop music, good vibes, and musicals that don’t take themselves too seriously, & Juliet is definitely your thing. It’s fast, fun, and actually hilarious – plus, it was created by an Emmy-winning writer from Schitt’s Creek, so you know it’s got that perfect mix of wit and heart. Grab your tickets and get ready for a Shakespearean twist that’s so good, it’s almost tragic. (But in the best way possible, obviously.)
