Today, August 7, 2024, marks exactly two decades since The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement premiered and changed our lives forever. I guess it’s true… we are big girls now. But yes, I still want an invite to Mia’s musical slumber party with all the princesses and mattress surfing. The premiere of Princess Diaries 2 took place at AMC Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, and well, I wouldn’t exactly call it a royal affair. There were a lot of Mickey and Minnie appearances, remarkably casual fits, and awkward red carpet photos. To celebrate 20 years of Princess Diaries 2, I’m obsessing over all the insane photos from that premiere day. Young Anne Hathaway, Chris Pine, Emma Roberts, and Kelly Clarkson bravely embraced cringe at this event, and we have to admire their efforts.
