Bravo’s youngest and drunkest franchise, Summer House, is fast approaching double-digit seasons, which means one thing is for certain: the Hamptons are here to stay. The same (hopefully) can’t be said for the current Summer House cast, though, since dedicated OG fans (it’s me, I’m fans) are begging for next season to include a little more tequila shots and a little less trauma bonding. Now that we’re eight seasons in, it’s easy to forget how far we’ve strayed from the show’s original premise: a group of singles shleps to the Hamptons after a long work week in the city to let loose in hot tubs ’til the wee hours of the morning, all captured on carefully placed night-vision cameras. Astute Bravo historians will know that Summer House currently retains the largest number of original cast members across the network, with five stars who have been there since day one if you count Amanda (with The Real Housewives of Potomac and Vanderpump Rules coming in a close second). There has been an interesting rotation of colorful characters through the house doors over the years, but recent seasons have showcased the same few faces, some of which may have now worn out their welcome. So what’s in store for season 9 of Summer House? Let’s look at all our most realistic predictions of who’s leaving.

Prediction: Not Asked Back

Reason: I’m happy she’s made peace with the other two amigas and all mainly because I don’t think anyone could stand another season of pillow screaming. With that said, what else does Danielle really bring to the table? I’m not sure anyone was super invested in her and Robert and now that he’s gone, her single life hasn’t been incredibly compelling either. She’s gone every other weekend, anyway, and nothing changes when she leaves. Her Latin dinner will remain a celebrated moment in Summer House history, but let’s open up that bed for someone new, pls and ty!

Prediction: Demoted to Friend

Reason: While I hope, wish, and pray this isn’t true, with the amount of screen time Gabby has gotten this season, I fear for her fate on the series long term. She’s a great friend to both Lindsay and Carl, and it seems she’s getting along better with Ciara and Paige too, but she still hasn’t quite cemented her place in the group otherwise. Hopefully Gabby will still visit us next summer, one way or another.

Prediction: Leaves On His Own

Reason: Carl’s evolution from More Life to sobriety has been a huge journey over the past eight seasons and thus it seems obvious his time in the Hamptons has probably come to a natural end. It’s not that he’s no longer drinking (or partaking in other extra-curricular activities) but more that his constant state of zen self-preservation isn’t aligned with this crew’s MO anymore. Plus, even though Lindsay is Miss Movin’ On these days, the chances of those two peacefully coexisting after a summer of toxicity seem next to impossible, and Lindsay is a better fit for the house, like it or not.
