I’m oh so glad that rich people are having the best summer ever, really, tickled pink even. I mean, practically every astrologist told me it was going to be my year, but whatever, the more the merrier. Everyone from normies to A-listers is desperate to go abroad for a little R&R (especially when daily life in the US low-key feels like The Bad Place), so naturally, the rich and famous are the first to jet overseas like carbon footprints aren’t a thing, because, well, they can.
Which brings us to The Ritz-Carlton (not literally, unfortunately). Apparently, the hotel chain now offers cruises (I guess I’m too poor to have previously known this, oops) and has invited dozens of celebs to come aboard their brand-new, superyachts to promote the elite experience. So, before I casually drop thousands on a ticket, I dug into all of the details of the Ritz-Carlton’s new cruise full of celebrities.
Ritz-Carlton Celebrity Cruise Details
What is the Ritz-Carlton cruise that all the celebrities went on?

The Ritz’s new “next generation” cruises are happening on two super yachts with more than 220 suites called Ilma and Luminara. This cruise is supposed to be next-level luxury (even for people who are used to it) with terrace balconies on every room, a wine vault, “upper suites” that are 10 by 10 feet (huge for cruise standards), and a marina to give “direct access” to the sea. Very chill!

The cruise will go all around the world: it first trekked from Monte Carlo to Rome, is spending summer in the Mediterranean, and will eventually make its way to Asia, Africa, and the Indian Ocean.
If you’re worried about the environment (welcome to the club), there is some good news. According to the Ritz-Carlton’s press release, “Both superyachts will be designed with advanced environmental features and technologies to minimize ecological impact.”
How much does it cost?

Fares depend on the voyage, and quotes range from 7K minimum up to $20,000. When you add in packages to make your trip carefree, some travel bloggers report you should expect to spend as much as 25K, NBD! That’s not hard to imagine considering meals can cost over $200 a pop, plus the hefty price tags for luscious on-shore excursions (like $800 hefty).
Which celebrities attended the Ritz-Carlton Luminara cruise?
It would probably be easier to name celebrities who weren’t on the Ritz cruise, TBH, but for starters: Naomi Campbell, Colman Domingo, Martha Stewart, Ricky Martin, Kate Hudson, Nina Dobrev and Shaun White, Kendall Jenner, Sofia Vergara, Sting, Tom Brady, Ashley Graham, Simone Ashley, and Jenna Lyons were all spotted aboard the Luminara’s maiden voyage.
Imagine the crossover content… I need Andy and a camera for a new god-tier Below Deck spinoff! The cruise, called a “glimpse into the future of luxury” by one of its creators, also showcased performances by Miguel, J Balvin, Ellie Goulding, and Janelle Monáe.
