TikTok is a magical land of doomscrolling, where niche influencer drama and curated cucumber content can coexist on the same platform. If the almighty algorithm hasn’t been pushing a middle schooler nicknamed ~The Rizzler~ onto your FYP, you were probably just as confused as I was when the pint-sized personality popped up on television multiple times this week. No, the Rizzler is not a fictional villain who terrorizes Gotham City and his bestie Big Justice isn’t actually Batman’s begrudging jacked-up sidekick in the latest Marvel mash-up. These are actual human children with massive social media followings and it’s about time you caught up, Grandpa, before the AARP comes and takes you away. If your joints are starting to feel like if you fall you might not get up, you need this explainer on who the Rizzler and his friends Big Justice and A.J. Befumo are.

Who Is The Rizzler?

The Rizzler is a seven-year-old named Christian from New Jersey who went viral in 2023 for his spunky personality (with his parents’ supervision, ofc). Things really popped off when his dad captured a video of Christian essentially getting the zoomies in a Black Panther costume. Since then, he’s made a name for himself using one-liners and a funny face that the kids qualify as rizz (which is short for charisma, come on, catch up). Hence, Christian earned the tongue-in-cheek nickname: The Rizzler.

Christian has trademarked the recipe for “rizz face” as putting “one eyebrow down,” raising the other eyebrow up, and “sucking in like this” (aka, mewing). This adorable little troublemaker does his signature eyebrow wiggle in content I can only describe as dad humor packaged up by little boy sticky fingers. Basically, if you’re a kid (or kid at heart) who loves Skibidi Toilet, The Rizzler is for you. If you have no idea what Skibidi Toilet is, IDK, maybe just count your blessings.

Because of this little chief’s massive popularity, including vocal support for the Mets throughout their cursed MLB history, the Rizzler was invited to “rizz up” the crowd at the 2024 NLCS Championship. The Mets of course lost game 5, leading the Dodgers to (another) World Series win, but hey, at least the kids are alright.

Is The Rizzler related to Big Justice and A.J. Befumo?

The Rizzler is friends (not brothers) with another kid, Eric Befumo, whose social media persona is Big Justice. Big Justice posts content mainly with his father, A.J., an amateur wrestler who was already giving social media a go when his son asked to get in on the fun on his TikTok channel. Their family food reviews took off so much that the father-son duo became known as The Costco Guys, who give explosive ratings of Costco items. The Jersey boys award food and products that they like with a “BOOM” or better yet “BIG BOOM” (whereas the ones they don’t like are not so boom). They even memorialized how they “bring the boom” in a popular song I’m sure will be the unapproved soundtrack of my sleep tonight.

This bro trio hit up The Tonight Show where Jimmy Fallon seemed more confused about who these dudes were than I was. I think Fallon was probably just a little shook that someone else could break the audience’s eardrums with OTT laughter and sound effects since that’s kind of his thing.
