The 2025 Golden Globes is officially restoring my faith in celebrity fashion. This group of celebs is exactly who we need to kick off award show season… I’m breathing several sighs of relief.

If we’re being honest, award show fits have been pretty meh as of late. Aside from that denim and feather slay from Kacey Musgraves, the 2024 Country Music Awards was absolutely brutal, fashion-wise. (Lookin’ at you, Keith Urban and Megan Moroney.) And why were Selena Gomez and Quinta Brunson’s stylists the only ones who understood the assignment at the 2024 Emmys??

But if the 2025 Golden Globes are any indication, this year is gonna be different. We have serious heavy hitters at this award show — A-list actors who really understand the crucial role fashion plays in their careers and in pop culture. Thankfully, icons like Zendaya, Cynthia Erivo, Miley Cyrus, and Zoe Saldana did not come to play.

Although I am neither a stylist nor a celebrity myself (yet), I do have a passion for judging celebs’ award show fashion. Thus, I give you: the best and worst dressed celebs at the 2025 Golden Globes. (There are more bests than worsts!!)

Best — Zendaya

Oh, she’s taking it. Are you kidding me?!?! The form-fitting dark sparkly dress and the tastefully long brown cape is absolutely everything. Queen of acting. Queen of style. Queen of Hollywood.

Love you, Ashley, but the bottom of this dress is giving… blanket that’s been in a closet for a while. I need more pizazz, more sparkle, some sort of interesting, intentional shape, etc.

She is a goddess and a fashion icon, and we have no choice but to stan. Although this isn’t my favorite pattern ever (it’s a touch busy), I’m obsessed with the shape.

It hurts my Selenator heart to admit this is not her best award show look… but hey, it’s definitely better than Benny’s!! And I do like the baby blue. Selena skipped the carpet for some reason, but posed with her fiancé inside.
