Celebs Who’ve Spoken Out Against Trump’s Los Angeles ICE Raids

At least some of them are using their platforms for good!

Earlier this month, Los Angeles residents took to the streets in peaceful protest against T*rump’s mass deportations in the city carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Despite the demonstrations being peaceful and organized, the president invoked a special provision to deploy both the National Guard and U.S. Marines to the city (not something a president’s supposed to do, obviously!). In response, California Governor Gavin Newsom filed a lawsuit against Trump and the Department of Defense to “end the illegal and unnecessary takeover of a CalGuard unit.” On June 14, people protested Trump’s authoritarianism in a series of “No Kings” protests across the country.

In times of crisis, some celebrities really show their immense privilege by staying silent and/or posting unrelated, out-of-touch content. Some (*cough* Alix Earle and Ryan Tedder) even complain about the inconvenience and the “miserable” aspect of the crisis. Fortunately, others step up and make us proud to be fans. One of the most powerful celeb statements on the ICE raids so far has come from Doechii, who used the 2025 BET Awards stage to speak up for immigrants when she won best female hip hop artist. “Trump is using military forces to stop a protest, and I want y’all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us,” she said.

Doechii continued, “We all deserve to live in hope and not in fear, and I hope we stand together, my brothers and my sisters, against hate and we protest against it.” Amen.

Here are the celebrities who’ve spoken out against Donald Trump’s ICE raids in Los Angeles.
