I fear Tamra Judge is leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County (again). “It was a long run!” the Bravo star wrote in a March 9 Instagram Story, seemingly announcing her resignation. “When life gives you real problems this reality shit doesn’t make sense. Peace out ✌️ Im out.” According to a People source, the Bravo star is currently in the middle of filming a cast trip to New Orleans. She’s reportedly with the other RHOC girlies: Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, Katie Ginella and Gretchen Rossi. So, WTF happened? Why did Tamra Judge quit RHOC? Or was she fired? Here’s what we know so far.

According to the Two Ts In A Pod host, she’s quitting the show. A fan account posted a screenshot of Tamra’s announcement IG Story and asked in the caption, “Is Tamra quitting??” In the comments, Tamra claimed, “Yes!!!” Perhaps some particularly unhinged drama went down while she was celebrating Mardi Gras with the cast in New Orleans?

It’s also very possible that Tamra’s leaving strictly because of the “real problems” she referred to in her statement. Although she didn’t specify which problems in that Story, her best friend and podcast co-host, Teddi Mellencamp, has been dealing with serious health issues recently. In February, Teddi underwent emergency surgery after doctors found multiple tumors on her brain. She’s since revealed that two more tumors have been found in her lungs. Throughout the incredibly difficult ordeal, Tamra’s been a supportive friend.

This isn’t the first time Tamra’s parted ways with RHOC — she left the show back in 2020 too. “It’s been a wild 12 years,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “But it’s time for me to move on. Im sad to go but I’m very excited about my future . Love ❤️ you guys ✌🏼.” Of course, the reality star wasn’t gone for long: She returned to the Bravo series for season 17 in 2023.

Tamra later claimed that she was fired in 2020. At BravoCon in 2022, she opened up about being away for a few seasons and then returning. “I was very sad about not being on the scene, everybody filming and all that stuff,” she shared, adding, “I still don’t know why I was fired!” Tamra noted that when she was asked to come back, she “of course wanted it.”
