In fact, while laughing about the “absolutely untrue” rumors, Jen explained she’s closer to his wife, Michelle Obama, if anything. She found out about the alleged false stories of a secret romance with Barack (who has been married for over 30 years to Michelle Obama, BTW) from her publicist after they were printed in a “cheesy tabloid.” Though Jennifer emphasized that “there is no truth” to the suggestion she has a personal relationship with the politician and father because she “met him once,” she did find the humor in the fact that in her decades of attention as an A-lister, this rumor is one of the nicer ones. “I’m not mad at it” she joked to Jimmy Kimmel, who also playfully confirmed she was “just friends” with Michelle, too.

On the magazine cover, the tabloid alleged that a source shared “the truth about Jen and Barack” who had left Michelle Obama “betrayed.” The magazine went on to allege that Jen and Barack are “obsessed with each other.”
