Though I can’t say they’re the most successful matchmakers, the fact that Nick and Vanessa Lachey come back each year to bring us premium mess with Love Is Blind is more than enough to keep them around. Fall is the season of being thankful, so let me go ahead and give credit where it’s due. I’m incredibly thankful that American singles are willing to risk it all on camera for a chance at love despite the fact that the vast majority of LIB relationships fail the experiment with a D for drama. Season 7 is naturally no exception when it comes to the six couples sent off for a honeymoon in Mexico. I’m actually not convinced all of these people even like each other, let alone are soulmates for life. Funny how the producers thought they were leaning into “authenticity” when it came to disinviting Leo and Brittany. Truly, E for Effort, folks. Tim And Alex: Broken Up

Tim and Alex get into a major tiff in Mexico that almost ruined all the progress they built in the pods. Apparently, Alex was feeling homesick but instead of communicating that she went silent. Tim tried getting her to talk, and when he wouldn’t stop dragging a reaction out of her, Tim said Alex put her hands over his mouth. Yikes. Somehow these two made it past that major road bump, and actually had a very sweet meet and greet with Alex’s family. Since Tim got a grade A stamp of approval from Alex’s dad, it looked like these too could make it down the aisle… until Alex took a nap in the middle of Tim’s family visit.

That incident paired with their clashing communication styles and love languages (Tim likes a lady who will do the dishes after he cooks, Alex likes her beauty rest) caused Tim to pull the rip cord with little warning. Though painful, this seems like the best choice for both of them, and most importantly, me. A betch is tired.

Taylor And Garrett: Married

Once Garrett was able to lay eyes on Taylor, he was even more smitten than before. See, Garrett, trust the process. Their connection was easily the most stable of the bunch when living together produced virtually no problems except the question mark of whether Garrett could handle moving to the West Coast. Their only real drama came when Garrett made the silly boy mistake of thinking he could handle an ex circling the block all by himself. After Taylor got her man in line (he really is a quick learner) they were all teed up for wedded bliss, and sealed the deal in a lovely ceremony with both of their families’ support.

Monica And Stephen: Broken Up

One second these two are making kissy faces, the next Monica is ready to throw him into the ocean because he won’t shut up (relatable). From day one it was obvious, despite Stephen’s happy-go-lucky positivity and uncomfy humor, that he had some unmanaged Big Feelings I suspected would be their downfall. My suspicions turned out to be right (what else is new) and Stephen’s immaturity quickly manifested in another bout of virtual cheating (just like he did in a previous relationship). His “kinky” drunk texts with someone who was not his fiance led to their breakup. Should I be surprised a man who couldn’t manage buying flowers and was appalled by the idea of buying his WIFE a Kate Spade bag wasn’t ready for marriage? Nope, and yet, here I am. Pretty sure Monica (who let’s be honest, should probs do a little soul-searching herself after what the world witnessed in the pods) will find a way to recover.

Nick And Hannah: Broken Up

Scientifically speaking, there was about a .01% chance Nick and Hannah were going to end up happily ever after. Their trust issues started before they even saw each other since Hannah convinced herself Nick was too big of a player to love her from the inside out. It was hard for them to find their footing after the pods when Hannah was disappointed with Nick from his looks to his sense of humor. Hannah was able to find a million chances to humble Nick’s ego, though. Now, Nick is no angel (his inability to cook pasta, for example, was horrifying to watch). But he did nothing except tell Hannah she is beautiful, smart, kind, important, etc., even throughout all of her lecturing that was more intense than a Google final round interview. I guess these two just weren’t an IRL match.

Marissa And Ramses

Marissa picking Ramses over Bohdon was actually the gag of the season and in hindsight, it may have been the wrong choice. The first problem between Marissa and Ramses was their differing stances on the military but Ramses’ crippling committment issues that had Marissa questioning her sanity by the end of the experiment turned out to be their final boss. Ramses called off their wedding, even after their fittings, because he decided love was not enough. Sir, this show is called Love Is Blind not Love Is A Carefully Thought Out Five Year Plan. If Ramses is concerned with anyone’s energy, it should be Marissa’s mom, who is more terrifying than any Navy Seal I’ve ever seen.

Tyler And Ashley

I may or may not have put these two last because originally these two were the boring crew. They were so perfect for so long that it felt like eternal bliss was inevitably on the table. That is until Tyler revealed a very NOT boring fact about himself: he has three secret children. When Ashley explained how upset she was that she found out Tyler was a sperm donor, I was a bit confused about what the BFD was.

Then, the grandmother of Tyler’s children, Lovetta Thomas, started popping off online. She alleged on social media that Tyler was in his children’s lives as a hands-on dad — right until he joined Love Is Blind. Their mother Bri Thomas also claims Tyler owes child support. Tyler has since exclusively told E! News he regrets nothing about what he hid from Ashley, especially his appearance, because he’s previously been “judged based off being light-skinned…being cheaters and liars.” Having fairer skin certainly isn’t indicative of cheating, but that allegedly didn’t stop our boy! According to a comment on Instagram by someone claiming to be Bri’s ex-wife, Tyer did, in fact, participate in cheating (not just sperm donation) during the situationship of all situationships.

Ashley only knew that Tyler had three “sperm donor babies” when she married him which was still kind of a huge deal. Shockingly, the firey red flags didn’t stop her from happily marrying Tyler. Even more surprisingly, Ashley is standing by her man through thick and thin, as she scolded us nosey LIB viewers at the reunion.
