The year 2025 may be off to a painfully rough start (sending love to all of my fellow Angelenos), but hey, at least Love Island has now become a year-long escapism activity for the days when work from bed feels necessary. It might be a bitter ass winter in the USA, but it’s summer in South Africa, and ITV has flown out Love Island’s biggest names back to the Villa for a second (or sometimes third) chance at true <3 love <3.
If you didn’t watch the first season of Love Island: All Stars, then now is the time to right your wrongs, friend! You don’t have to be familiar with all the players in the game to slurp up the absolutely juicy drama that comes with forcing 20-plus seasons of reality TV stars from around the globe into one tropical room. Oh my lord, sweet baby Jesus, yes, Ekin-Su!!! After things fell to pieces following winning her season with Davide, the actress (yes) and liar (debatable) was reportedly getting cozy with Peter from The Bachelor after Traitors season 2. If the alleged romance was ever a thing, it must be over now because Ekin is back to steal the crown with a new boo thing a second time.
Marcel

Love Island Exes: Gabby
Marcel is officially the oldest man in Love Island history, which means he better have his shit together this around. In his OG season, Marcel was a fan fave who made everyone inside and outside The Villa smile (like his bestie Olivia Attwood). That’s why it was so disappointing, after cheering him on as he found something special with Gabby Allen, to learn Marcel cheated on Gabby after they came in third. And the tea doesn’t end there: Marcel is technically still married to his ex Rebecca, with whom he has a child as he enters The Villa again… um, yeah, that’ll be chill.

Gabby was a quirky queen from day one, and I really thought she and Marcel were going to make it. If I were Little Miss Sunshine, I’d be storming back into The Villa with an axe to grind, but knowing Gabby, she’ll handle the situation with grace.
Luca

Love Island Exes: Gemma
If you’re smelling something fishy, don’t worry; it’s just Luca Bish stepping back into the ring. Luca was one of the most embarrassing individuals to date on the show, such as when he wouldn’t admit his gorgeous, accomplished, emotionally intelligent then-girlfriend Gemma was out of his league. Naturally, those two didn’t last (no matter how many pools Luca filled with roses), and Luca has already claimed if Gemma arrives as a surprise on All Stars, he’s going to quit and deny her any chance of reconciliation. Lol, I wouldn’t worry about that, Luca.
Curtis

Love Island Debut: Season 5
Love Island Exes: Amy, Maura
I am RAGE-screaming at the mere PROSPECT of having to stomach Curtis again, which is to say, he’s an excellent choice. Mr. Twinkle Toes fooled us once by pretending to be the nice guy, and I, for one, won’t be fooled again. I hope Amy flies into South Africa directly to ruin his night, but if I can’t get that, at least don’t send his little brother.
Catherine

Love Island Exes: Scott, Elom, Scott again??
Last I heard, Catherine and Scott were staying flirty after their breakup on their season of Love Island with Ella, Whitney, Jess and the other bad bitches. I would’ve rather seen Catherine and Scott win than Jess and Sammy, now that I think of it, but whatever. I have a feeling Catherine isn’t going to hold back this time.
Ronnie

Love Island Exes: Jess, Harriet, Tiffany
Ronnie Vint and his questionable hairline are back, babes. Ronnie’s rizz was somehow pretty effective during his run last summer, so I expect him to stir up plenty of mess on All Stars season 2.
Scott

Love Island Exes: Kady
While I wish this was Scott Van Der Sluis (Catherine’s ex), this is OG Scott, as in Kady’s Scott, who was extremely possessive and a total lad’s lad. Scott is all grown up now, though, so maybe the Manchester boy is ready for big kids’ romance.
Kaz
Age: 29

Love Island Exes: Josh
Kaz made waves by taking Georgia’s spot as Josh’s loyal girl in season 4 of Love Island UK. TBH, I never trusted Josh after that, but Kaz seems like a good girl with her head on her shoulders. I think she’ll clean up no matter which all stars appear.
India

India was a cool, chill hottie, and I was actually pissed when Ovie dumped her on social media because I loved them together. This obviously means we can expect/hope Ovie is dropped into South Africa any day now.
Nas
Age: 28
Love Island Debut: Winter Love Island, season 1
Love Island Exes: Demi, Eva
Nas gave class clown cutie, and I’m ready for more of that. Neither of his connections from his first stint were all that serious, so hopefully, there’s a true match in there for him this time. Even though Demi (who found love with Luis on All Stars) is single again, she’s announced she’s never dating a famous person again. So, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a reunion with Nas.
Olivia
Age: 29
Love Island Debut: Winter: Love Island, season 2
Love Island Exes: No one special
All I can tell you about this lady is that she looks like a British version of Dorit Kemsley. The second iteration of Winter: Love Island was said to be a non-event, and Olivia’s dating history on the show appears to be the same, though she lasted 45 days into the series.
Elma

Elma was so briefly on one of my favorite seasons of Love Island UK that I had to Google her several times until I remembered she was briefly coupled up with Anton. Hopefully, 2025 will be a better year for her.
