After a year of every pop girl in existence (except Olivia Rodrigo) releasing a new album, the long-awaited “blood bath” 2025 Grammys are finally upon us. Needless to say, I’m stressed as hell. Tonight is all about Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Doechii. Herstory shall be made! There’s no doubt about that. (But also, shoutout to Benson Boone for carrying male pop on his back while Harry Styles continues his music hiatus and Shawn Mendes galavants around Machu Picchu with his new GF.) I truly can’t remember a more competitive Grammys.

While the Grammys are of course music’s biggest night, the award show is also a major evening for fashion. Chappell, Charli, Sabrina, and Doechii’s red carpet fits have me gagged, as expected. But others *cough Jaden Smith* are, uh, leaving more to be desired. Sure, there are elements of this look that work (her makeup looks fab), but… it’s not giving ~most powerful woman in music on the planet~ or the level of glamor required by the Grammys.
