Celebrity kids are growing up way too fast these days, I swear. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who divorced back in 2018, share three nepo babies: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Except they’re not babies anymore! Violet, the oldest, is literally a legal adult now, and she’s preparing to do big girl things like move out and go to college soon. Of course, Violet’s also busy navigating a relationship with her famous stepmother, Jennifer Lopez, as Ben and J. Lo divorce rumors continue to swirl. Needless to say, there’s a lot going on in this teen’s life at the moment.
Here’s everything to know about Violet Affleck today.
Violet was born on December 1, 2005 in Los Angeles, so she’s 18 years old today. She graduated from high school on May 30. While chatting about Violet’s graduation on Live With Kelly and Mark, Jennifer shared, “It is exciting… The excitement and stress go hand in hand, but she’s handling it like a champ, and she’s totally in charge.”

Earlier in May, Jennifer shared photos of herself tearing up at her daughter’s pre-graduation ceremony. “Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. 🎓,” Jennifer captioned her post, adding, “(bless our hearts ♥️🤣).” She has to be the most normal famous mom out there.
She and parents haven’t officially made a college announcement, but Violet seemed to give a pretty big hint on Instagram. In a photo shared by her high school’s account, she poses in a Yale University sweatshirt alongside classmates wearing their own college gear. So, it’s looking like Violet might be a Yalie, class of 2028!

During a 2020 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson show, Ben gushed about Violet’s smarts. “She’s always been a very good student, and she’s been interested in Spanish, and so I would often help her,” he said. (Ben is basically fluent, in case you haven’t admired his thousands of interviews in Spanish.) At the time, the Tender Bar actor claimed that Violet was already surpassing his level.
Violet and J. Lo seem to have a close relationship. Despite the ongoing rumors that J. Lo and Ben are headed for a divorce, she and Violet are still spending quality time together. They recently grabbed lunch (probably some ham and cheeses on a roll and small bags of chips) together at the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills. J. Lo was also there to support Violet at her high school graduation ceremony.
