WTF Is Meg Markle’s Mysterious American Riviera Orchard?

Is it a lifestyle brand? A brewery? An escape house for Kate?

In the midst of the search for the Princess of Wales, Meg Markle launched a new brand, American Riviera Orchard. But what the fuck is it? Is it a lifestyle brand? (It’s giving Tig 2.0.) A brewery? (Imagine Meg and her IPA’s lol.) An escape house for Kate? The website tied to the Instagram account only contains a waiting list sign-up despite being unclear on what exactly you’re signing up for.

What Is The American Riviera Orchard?

You know the Royals situation is bad when Meg is emphasizing she’s American. Other than that, the name itself gives us very few clues. Santa Barbara is known as the American Riviera, which is where the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Harry live with their kids in the town of Montecito (duh).

An insider told Page Six that it will be an extension of her old lifestyle blog, “The Tig,” and will focus on home, garden, food and general lifestyle stuff. “It’s all the things that are close to her heart,” the insider reports. “All the things she’s passionate about.” Apparently, Meg has been working on this for over a year, but has decided now is the perfect time to launch it (lol, read the room).

The 42-year-old is also expected to launch a food/lifestyle-type show with Netflix and clearly hopes to become the next Martha Stewart. My hope is that it’s just a spin-off of the Great British Baking Show.
