Helena represents her community at international summits like COP and Youth for Climate, and she’s also the co-founder of Polluters Out, a movement that “demands the removal of fossil fuels from Indigenous lands, world governments, and international policy.” There’s literally a documentary about her, titled Helena Sarayaku Manta. The doc tells the story of her life and activism, and it sheds light on the Sarayaku way of life as well. They really have so much in common, because Shawn also has a documentary about himself!
