If you haven’t already, it’s time to succumb to the fact that we’re living in Taylor Swift’s America. It’s just the reality, so quit your denial phase and just accept it! As a part of living in Swift’s 2024, we’re all going to go along with the new category at the Golden Globes and pretend it wasn’t created solely because the Hollywood Foreign Press Association wants Taylor to show up to boost numbers. Like, relax, HFPA, you’re not the NFL. So is Taylor Swift going to the 2024 Golden Globes? Here’s everything we know.

I went to the Eras tour (in Philly, it was an amazing show) and I went to see the movie in theaters. But my love of Taylor does not outweigh my love of judging fashion. And this is bad! It’s (sadly) probably one of Taylor’s best most recent looks, and it’s not lost on me that it may be signaling in Reputation (Taylor’s Version), but still. Guys, it’s could be sooooooo much better. I wish Blondie would step! it! up!

Also, obviously everyone’s wondering if Travis will be there, because he played his sports in LA today. It didn’t seem likely that he’d have enough time to change and get ready post-game, so I was like, “ok, great, we’ll see him at the after parties to celebrate Taylor’s wins!!!” But, PageSix went on to say that sources claim Travis will be too busy gearing up for the NFL playoffs season and will be flying back to Kansas City with his team right after the game. Whatever forever.
Taylor’s been nominated in the new category Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for the Eras Tour movie. She’s going up against, Barbie, Oppenheimer, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, John Wick: Chapter 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

It feels pretty likely that Taylor’s concert film, which broke records for first-day ticket sales and grossed more than $200 million at the global box office, is a shoe-in. And because of that… feels like we’re sure to see Taylor show up last on the red carpet (just a personal prediction) in the audience laughing along with Jo Koy’s monologue jokes (at least three will be about her, again: personal prediction).
Taylor has previously been nominated for four Golden Globes, all in the Best Original Song category. But girlypop has never won! In 2013 she got her first nomination for “Safe & Sound” from The Hunger Games, soundtrack. Then in 2014, she was nominated for “Sweeter Than Fiction” from One Chance, followed by “Beautiful Ghosts” from Cats in 2020 (we’ve all blocked Cats from our memories, but it’s fine) and last year she was nominated for “Carolina” from When the Crawdads Sing.
The last time she went to the Golden Globes was in 2020. She was dating Joe Alwyn at the time and in typical Joe fashion, he did not join her on the carpet, but met her inside during the ceremony.
