Jennifer Aniston Had An Iconic Response To JD Vance’s ‘Childless Cat Lady’ Comment

Calling all childless cat ladies!

As always, when a woman steps into the political spotlight, the world does its absolute best to tear her down. Despite what you think of Hillary Clinton’s politics, it’s hard to deny that she was eviscerated from every angle when she was running. The misogyny was immediate and it was brutal. And now that Kamala Harris is on her way to becoming the official Democratic nominee for President of the United States, the same is happening. Except Kamala isn’t just a woman — she’s a Black, Indian woman.

Already the attacks on her have been aggressive. They’ve attacked the fact that she’s a woman, that she “laughs too much,” and now JD Vance, the Vice Presidential nominee under Trump is attacking the fact Kamala never birthed any children.

In an appearance on Fox News (shocker), JD Vance openly and confidently said that women who haven’t given birth are “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives” and apparently have “no direct stake in America.” Ahh, haven’t heard that one before.

Enter: Jennifer Aniston.

Jen saw a screen grab of JD’s appearance and posted it on her story writing, “I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States.” She then goes on to say, “Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

It’s known that Jennifer Aniston’s fertility journey has included IVF treatments to no avail —so it’s likely this comment was particularly upsetting for her. But we should all be pissed.

It’s really an interesting choice of words on JD’s part considering women can barely afford to have children in this economic climate, he’s literally voted against the Right to IVF act, and he pushed for a blanket abortion ban. Well, I guess it isn’t that interesting — it’s clear that JD thinks he has a right to determine what women do with their bodies.

As someone who hasn’t birthed children, plans on never birthing children, and doesn’t even own a cat, I take offense to this… or at least I would if I cared about the opinion of a man that looks like JD Vance. But seriously, it’s 2024 and we’re attacking a woman because she… didn’t give birth to someone? Also, not that it even matters but Kamala is a stepparent to two children. So whatever “family dynamic” Republicans are using as an excuse to attack her doesn’t even make sense. And Kamala’s stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, expressed just that in her IG story.

Kerstin Emhoff, the ex-wife of Doug Emhoff (Kamala’s husband), released a quote basically saying JD’s words are bullshit and Kamala’s been just as much of a parent to her stepkids as either of their biological parents. Ella then posted that quote onto her story and wrote, “How can you be ‘childless’ when you have cutie pie kids like Cole and I,” and continued, “I love my three parents.”

It’s not like misogyny is some sort of new invention, but ah, don’t you miss the days when it was at least more covert? But I mean, what sort of hope can you have for the Republicans in office when their presidential nominee is Donald Trump?

I don’t even have the energy to counter JD’s ridiculously stupid and disgusting comments, but I’ll say this: A woman’s ability to hold the highest office in the nation has absolutely nothing to do with what does or doesn’t come out of her vaginal canal. And if you have to actually explain that to someone who is trying to have the second most powerful job in the world, then I’m so scared for what this election is going to look like.
