Zac Efron isn’t the only one getting into serious accidents these days — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, was involved in a brutal electric bike accident last week that landed him in the ICU. The famous family has been in the news a lot recently due to several of the children dropping “Pitt” from their last names and Angelina and Brad’s ongoing messy legal battle over their French winery, Château Miraval. Now, Angelina and Pax’s five siblings are reportedly focused on supporting Pax as he heals from this traumatic event.
Here’s a full breakdown of Pax Jolie-Pitt’s e-bike accident and an update on his recovery.
Pax’s serious July 29 electric bike accident left him with a head injury and hip pain, according to TMZ. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that Angelina’s son was riding in an area with lots of traffic and wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. Paramedics were called to Hobart and Los Feliz Boulevard after his e-bike crashed into a car that was stopped at a red light, per the Los Angeles Police Department. Pax was then brought to the ICU of a nearby hospital.
Lola Cavalli, an eyewitness who called 9-1-1 and helped Pax at the scene of the accident, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the experience. “He was hit on the head,” she recalled. “I had no idea where you would put the pressure to stop the bleeding on the head.” She also noted that Pax’s mouth was “filled with blood.” Lola directed traffic to try to make sure they weren’t hit by a car.

On Monday, a family friend told ET, “Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy.” Angelina and all of Pax’s siblings have reportedly been by his side throughout this difficult journey.
Pax was born on November 29, 2003, so he’s 20 years old now. He’s the third youngest of Angelina’s six kids.
